About us
Net Positive is a student-led nonprofit organization, recognized by the US Youth Forum, that unites badminton enthusiasts in San Mateo to rally for sustainable and equitable housing. Through organized matches, community events, and local partnerships, we aim to create a positive impact both on and off the court—fostering awareness, raising funds, and building a more inclusive community.
Core Objectives:
-
Engage badminton fans and players in regular recreational and competitive play.
-
Educate the community about sustainable and equitable housing through sport-centered events.
-
Support local housing initiatives via fundraising tournaments, volunteer drives, and awareness campaigns.
-
Connect students, athletes, and advocates to promote social responsibility and active citizenship.
All proceeds for our first tournament will go toward global efforts like Habitat for Humanity and the United Nations housing initiatives!

Hi, my name is Jaiden Ou and I’m a sophomore at Aragon High School. I’m the Founder and President of Net Positive and want to see my efforts make a positive change for the world. I started Net Positive so I could bring my passion and mission together. At my school, I’m a key member of my Varsity Badminton team, and the Captain of JV basketball. I have experience running a successful company and I’m super passionate and committed to Net Positive. I believe in Net Positive's future and can't wait to see it fully blossom.

Hi! I am Marcus Zhen, a sophomore at Mills High School. I am an active member of the Mills Robotics Team. Outside of school, I am deeply involved in my community through the San Bruno Chinese Church, the World Changers mission trip program, the church's Praise Team, and children’s ministries. I am also the Vice-President of Net Positive and am very passionate with helping under privileged communities.

Hi, my name is Kodee Ou and I am a freshman at Junipero Serra High School. I am very excited to start high school and see what new experiences await me! I am proud to be the Treasurer of Net Positive because I am very passionate about helping people in need and I love how we do it through my passion of badminton! Outside of that, I love to play badminton and basketball, and my favorite subject currently is biology. I was originally a participant of Net Positive's tournaments and was deeply moved to help make an impact.
